PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Boiler Room is looking for an experienced HR Manager with a pro-active, hands-on approach to fill this standalone position. 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Maintain employee records through BambooHR
  • Handle all employee relation queries/issues such as pay, benefits, terms and conditions, conflicts, maternity, holiday entitlements, sickness, career development
  • Issue offer letters and contracts of employment, employee variation documentation and new starter documentation
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Work with Heads of Departments to develop and manage a thorough Onboarding process
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on all people related matters, eg. employment law, remuneration, conflict resolution, absence from work, redundancy etc
  • Coordinate leaver requirements, eg. Offboarding, outstanding holiday entitlements, notify payroll and carry out exit interviews
  • Provide accurate and timely information to Payroll regarding starters, leavers, contractual changes, amendments to personal details, salary increases, commissions/bonuses etc
  • Manage the quarterly performance appraisal system and process
  • Manage employee benefits. Liaise and negotiate terms with external providers and report membership changes as required.
  • Ensure employment policies and procedures reflect best practice and comply with current legislation
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven working experience as HR manager
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
